Telecommuting, also known as remote working, telecommuting, flexible working from home, telecommuter, home-based work, flexible office, and remote job, is an arrangement in which workers don’t commute to an external location of their choice, such as an established office establishment, warehouse, or shop. Workers in telecommuting arrangements have the convenience to choose their destination. They can choose to work from a public library, coffee shop, airport terminal, hotel room, library, gas station, bus stop, airport, railway station, shopping mall, post office, supermarket, or any other place they find convenient. There is no need for them to buy their own transportation. In addition, employees in remote working jobs are not bound by fixed working hours.

There are a lot of advantages for working in a remote working environment. For one, remote workers could include stay-at-home parents, retirees, and housewives. Another advantage would be the freedom of having flexible working hours. This flexibility could include working on weekends or holidays, depending on the nature of the contract and company policies.
Aside from the flexible schedule and working conditions, remote working teams could also include small or large teams. These teams could include one or two-person teams; multiple teams composed of more than two individuals; or groups consisting of several individuals from different locations, depending on the need. Remote teams could include executive teams, or groups that are especially trained or expert in specific fields. Some remote teams could include representatives of different legal professionals, project managers, programmers, virtual assistants, psychologists, and financial experts.
